On August 6, just after 10:00 p.m., acting on information developed regarding an illegal marijuana growing operation, Yavapai County Sheriff Office deputies went to a specific space number in the Oak Park Trailer park on Highway 89, Yarnell, AZ. A man and a woman answered the door and were questioned about marijuana plants which deputies could see while approaching the trailer.

Each of the residents provided a State of Arizona medical marijuana identification card clearly printed with the statement, “Not authorized to cultivate.” Deputies researched regulations by the Arizona Department of Health Services (DHS) and consulted with the County Attorney’s Office to confirm the growing operation was illegal.
This was in part due to the location of a dispensary within 25 miles of their address. Additionally, the structure used to house the marijuana plants did not meet DHS legal standards in construction.
The male, identified as 48-year-old Harold Adair, was arrested for a felony charge of Marijuana Production. His 48-year-old female companion was not arrested at the time due to medical conditions and charges are pending.
A total of 19 plants were seized. Adair was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center and has since been released on a promise to appear.
