San Luis CBP Officers Seize $34K Worth of Meth

TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of San Luis arrested a male Mexican national Aug. 23 after finding more than 11 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at nearly $34,000, his Honda sedan.

After CBP officers referred the 25-year-old resident of San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, for a secondary inspection, a CBP narcotics-detection canine alerted to drugs hidden within the vehicle’s frame.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned the man over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
