Suspect in custody for Casa Grande bombing

A suspect is in custody in connection with the bombing Friday at the Social Security field office in Casa Grande. He is Abdul Latif Aldosary, a 47 year old refugee from Iraq.

Aldosary has a history of imprisonment for communicating threats against an employer by mail and telephone.

Investigators believe that the suspect threw an explosive out a car window, causing the entry door to become blackened and charred and debris was thrown throughout the back parking lot, damaging a car parked nearby according to the Casa Grande Dispatch. The Casa Grande office was closed and no one was hurt but the blast shook those nearby.

A PE teacher at a nearby school was outside with her students and heard the explosion. The surrounding neighborhood was evacuated as a precaution as agents served a search warrant.

Federal agents were still searching Aldosary’s home at 47th Street and Lemon in Coolidge on Saturday.

Aldosary served time for aggravated harassment after he threatened an employer who he said was not giving him enough hours.

Aldosary is scheduled to appear in federal court on Monday.
