Oro Valley Beehive Shuts Down Roads For Hours

Bee hive call in Oro Valley on Thursday resulted in 2 adults being stung and 2 dogs, according to Golder Ranch Fire District officials.

The area of Canada Hills and Sand Canyon was closed as a beekeeper and first responders tended to the victims and rounded up approximately 80,000 Africanized bees. The roads were closed for about 4 hours.

The removal operation took approximately 10 hours according to area residents.
