On October 25, 2016, the Oro Valley Police Department was investigating a credit card/debit card skimmer located within a fuel pump at the Circle K at 8780 N. Oracle Road in Oro Valley. If you purchased fuel using a credit/debit card at this location within the past three weeks, police are urging customers to:
1. Review your bank statement for unusual charges you did not authorize.
2. Contact your financial institution and cancel your credit/debit card and request a new card if you have fraudulent charges.
3. If you are a victim of fraud from this location, contact the Oro Valley Police Department to file a police report at (520) 229-4900.
In general, it is recommended to pay for fuel with cash or credit card. Residents are advised if you use your debit card, follow the prompts as if it was a credit card.
