Couple Escapes Yavapai County Home Invaders

On November 18, 2016, at approximately 2:45 a.m., an unknown suspect or suspects forced entry into a home located in the 5000 block of Blue Jay Road, Walker. The home is located off Walker Road about 6 miles south of Highway 69. To gain entry, the suspects broke a glass pane in a door enabling them to reach inside and open the door. An adult couple was home at the time and awoke to noises inside. Checking for the source of the noise, they discovered glass on the floor near the back door which was now open. Fearing someone was inside the house, the couple left in their vehicle and called YCSO. They never saw the suspects or any indication of a suspect vehicle.

Deputies canvassed the area for the perpetrators, but none were found.

During follow-up, it was discovered suspects cut the telephone line and shut off power outside the home in a likely attempt to prevent the couple from calling law enforcement.

Evidence technicians and Detectives were called to the scene to investigate further. No property was missing according to the residents.
