On Friday November 25, 2016, shortly after noon, a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Iron Springs Road attempted to pass 3 vehicles near Doce Pit Road just outside of Prescott. The motorcycle struck the lead vehicle, a 2016 Dodge 1 ton pickup, which was making a left turn onto Doce Pit Road.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike. Occupants in some of the vehicles that were passed by the motorcycle stopped and rendered aid to the rider. The reporting party had to leave the scene to access cell phone coverage briefly delaying notification.
The rider has been identified as Brandon Michael Wilson, 41, from Skull Valley, Arizona. Mr. Wilson succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup, a 67-year-old Prescott Valley man, was cooperative and exhibited no signs of impairment.
The crash remains under investigation.
