Meth Worth $78K Seized At Port of San Luis

Officers discovered multiple packages of meth within the center hump of a smuggling vehicle

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Port of San Luis arrested a 38-year-old Mexican woman after finding nearly 30 pounds of methamphetamine in her vehicle when she attempted to enter the United States on Feb. 24.

Officers working with a CBP narcotics-detection canine located the drugs, valued at approximately $78,000, in the vehicle’s center console.

Officers seized the drugs and vehicle and turned the woman over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
