The Town of Marana, Town of Sahuarita and the City of South Tucson will be conducting primary elections for council seats on March 12, 2013. The Pima County Recorder warns that in order for voters of these municipalities to cast their ballots, they must be registered to vote not later than midnight, February 11, 2013.
The Town of Sahuarita and the Town of Marana will hold all vote-by mail primary elections, and every registered voter in each Town will receive a mailed ballot. The City of South Tucson will conduct elections with both vote-by-mail and election day voting at the polls being available to voters in that community. Registered voters residing in the City of South Tucson may request a vote-by-mail ballot now for their community’s March 12, 2013 Primary Election by calling the Pima County Recorder’s office at (520) 724-4330. Voters who are signed up for the Permanent Early Voting List will automatically receive their Primary Election ballot.
A new voter registration form must be completed by anyone who has moved (even to a new apartment number in the same complex), changed their name since their last registration, is a new Pima County resident, or would like to change their party affiliation.
