In February 2013, the Tucson Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit initiated an investigation into the downloading and distribution of child sex images and videos. Detectives identified 29-year old Jessvan Hernandez, as the computer user in the Tucson area who was sharing these types of files.
The investigation led them to a residence in the 1400 block of North Highland Avenue. On March 28, 2013, detectives served a warrant at the residence. They determined Hernandez was involved in the illegal downloading and distribution of child sex images. Hernandez works as a masseuse in the Tucson area.
Hernandez was booked into the Pima County Jail for 4 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
The investigation further revealed that Mr. Hernandez may have sexually abused multiple children in the past five years. Detectives believe they have located and identified all reported victims. No arrests have been made regarding the sexual abuse, but the investigation is ongoing.
