U.S. Marine Corps Lance Corporal Jacob Hug lost his life while on a humanitarian mission in Nepal in May of 2015, when his helicopter crashed in the Himalayas. Jacob was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Sea Service Deployment ribbon.
