Rabid Fox Attacks Flagstaff Resident

Flagstaff Police are warning residents about a rabid fox last seen in the area of Settlers Run and Bear Paw. It was in that area that the fox attacked a resident in the bed of a pickup truck.

According to Police, the fox jumped into the bed and bit the resident. The fox then ran off .

Police report that earlier another rabid fox was captured on the west side of town, along with a possibly rabid skunk.

The public is cautioned to be careful wild animals and not approach them. If you see any animals acting in an uncharacteristic manner, call 911.
