Booty stolen from Prescott pirate ship

y pirate shipAt the end of May of 2013, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the 600 block of Hill Drive, in Prescott, regarding the theft of numerous items from a home built pirate ship display. The suspects forced entry into ship’s interior where most of the property was taken.

The ship is used by  the victim’s family and area school children who tour the vessel on occasion. Since the theft, none of the property has been located and no suspects have yet been identified.

A list of the stolen property is includes –

1) Uzbekistan knife, possibly 12”, dark rosewood-colored handle, bright chrome blade which is engraved: “Uzbekistan.”

2) Pewter-finish knife with serrated edge. Two-feet long, with a full hand-guard.

3) Small wooden box, from Spain, with bronze band and coin accents, very old (front and center in adjacent photo), and filled with old European coins.

4) U.S. Marine sword, silver with engraved blade and black scabbard.

5) U.S. Cavalry sword with silver scabbard and gold citation cord attached

6) 1953 Japanese 1,000 yen paper bill.

7) Antique homemade knife with penny embedded in handle, 6-8.”

8) Several replica Confederate silver war dollars. Rapier sword, silver with silver handle and silver tipped black scabbard, possibly 36″.

10) “Brotherhood of the Coast” Skull and Bones flag, black, torn away from an exterior table likely leaving ragged edges.

11) 15-strand Zuni-Hishi necklace, turquoise and coral, valued in excess of $400 dollars.

12) Egyptian necklace, Pharaoh-type, purchased in Jerusalem 20 years ago.

13) World War II Japanese machete from Philippines, ornate carved wooden handle with wooden carved scabbard, cross shape on scabbard.

14) 3 small gold coins

15) 20 Susan B. Anthony dollars

16) A number of faux replica antique pistols that look pirate-like.
