At 5:30 this morning Scottsdale Police were called to a home in the 6600 block of Calle Redondo as the homeowner thought he heard noises coming from his chimney.
The homeowner told the 911 operator, “Yeah, I’ve been having this wierd noise coming out of my chimney. Is there any chance anyone could come over and take a look.” When asked what kind of noise he heard he replied, “I think there might be somebody in there. I think I heard someone clearing their throat.”
Officers arrived and looked inside the chimney from the roof and could see an individual inside. He came out on his own and was taken into custody.
The male subject was transported to SHC Osborn for observation as he had been coughing quite a bit. When released from the hospital he will be booked on burglary and trespassing charges. At that time his identity and booking photo will be released.
