Pinal County robbery suspect arrested for growing marijuana

marijuana-growOn Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that a victim had several items taken from his residence during a burglary by unknown suspects. PCSO Property Crime Detectives worked with the victim and set up surveillance on a possible suspect involved.

After the surveillance was conducted, detectives developed probable cause and were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

On Friday, October 29th, 2013, detectives served the search warrant on the home in the 10700 block of Grier Road, Marana.

Sheriff Paul Babeu stated, “During the execution of the search warrant, detective’s recovered two gas generators and other property belonging to the victim of the prior burglary. Also inside of the residence, detectives located several marijuana plants. The marijuana plants were turned over to the Marana Police Department for investigation. There were a total of 14 marijuana plants, varying in size from potted plants to some over six feet tall.”

The two suspects were identified as Michael White, age 29, and Dawn Hay, age 40. Both suspects were booked into the Pima County Jail for Burglary, Theft, Criminal Trespass and Possession of Stolen Property.
