Mesa credit cards thieves sought by police

mesa-theivesMesa Police report that on the night of May 14, 2014 a woman was shopping in the Walmart at 1955 S Stapley, when the younger of the two female suspects approached her and complimented her on her clothes. One of the women continued to speak with the victim to distract her while the older stole the victim’s purse from her cart.

Both suspects immediately left the store and went to the CVS at 2005 N Dobson in Chandler. They made 7 attempts to buy Visa gift cards with three of the victim’s credit cards; all transactions were declined.

According to police, both suspects are described as Hispanic or “Gypsy” type nationality females. The younger suspect was wearing a striped sundress and appeared to be 30-40 years old with heavy smoker’s breath. The second suspect was described as older, late 50s to early 60s with a large nose. The vehicle involved is a green or light blue Ford passenger car.
