Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported that on July 19, 2014, at approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 3755 W. Cortaro Farms Road, regarding an armed robbery.
When deputies arrived, they learned a male entered the bank, implied he had a weapon, and gave a handwritten note to the teller. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen running across the parking lot towards a nearby neighborhood.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
• Caucasian male
• Late 30’s to early 40’s
• Wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with “Wisconsin” on the front and dark colored sweatpants
The Sheriff’s Department Robbery/Assault Unit responded and took over the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
