Thomason appointed to Maricopa County Superior Court

Timothy Thomason has been appointed to the Maricopa County Superior Court. He has been appointed by Governor Brewer to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Maria del Mar Verdin.

Thomason has been inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers, and achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble.

Thomason provides pro bono representation through the Volunteer Lawyers Program and has authored more than a dozen legal articles on various topics, including deficiency judgments, escrow, corporate attorney-client privilege, discovery, expert testimony, evidence and juries. He also was a contributing author to the Arizona Tort Law Handbook (2012). He currently serves on the state committee for the American College of Trial Lawyers and has performed leadership roles in the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section (1997-2005), including service as the chair of the Trial Practice Committee and the Health Law Litigation Committee. He also served on the State Bar’s Trial Practice and Procedure Committee, Arizona Civil Practice and Procedure Committee, and the American Bar Association Discovery Task Force. He has been on the board of trustees for Childsplay since 1996 and currently serves as the President.

Thomason received his law degree, with highest distinction, from the University of Iowa (1984) and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Creighton University (1981).
