Flake Statement on President’s Plan to Bypass Congress, Issue Immigration Executive Actions
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) today issued the following statement in response to the White House’s announcement that President Barack Obama plans to bypass Congress and move forward with immigration-related executive actions after Election Day:
“With the announcement that he will act alone on immigration reform after the November elections, the president has made what was already a political move even more transparently political. Such action will make genuine reform of our immigration system even more difficult.”
