War By Women Launched Against Goddard

goddardTerry Goddard alienated much of his base as Arizona Attorney General when he turned his back on fellow Democrats who were fighting election fraud in Pima County a few years ago. This week, the perpetual candidate lost two important female Democrat Party leaders when Catherine Miranda and Lydia Hernandez endorsed his opponent Michele Reagan.

Miranda and Hernandez, who are opinion makers at the Capitol, acknowledged Reagan’s ability to “work across the aisle to develop solutions as opposed to a rigid partisan approach to policy making,” according to a statement released Thursday.

“Michele Reagan is the independent-minded, moderate-leaning, reliable leader we need in the Office of Secretary of State. She has built a career in the legislature based upon her unique ability to work across party lines to find common sense solutions. She has been a true friend, a respected colleague, and often-times a legislative partner. She is a reliable friend of Republicans, Democrats and Independent voters alike. I am proud to lend my name and support to her candidacy now for Secretary of State. Arizona has long history of electing strong women, and I strongly believe that Michele Reagan is qualified to carry on that tradition,” said State Representative Catherine Miranda.

“Michele Reagan is the best candidate for Secretary of State and I’m proud to lend my name to her campaign. Michele Reagan has been a champion for small business, working across party lines to create jobs, reform the regulatory environment and champion meaningful election reform. She has been a friend and valuable colleague who has demonstrated a willingness to work with Democrats to achieve positive results for our community. Too often, we lose sight of those individuals who are willing to find compromise in the middle. Michele Reagan has embodied that philosophy. Some in my Democrat party may criticize my support of her candidacy, but I know firsthand her commitment to ensure that our community has a voice in public policy. I strongly believe that Michele Reagan is the most qualified candidate for Secretary of State, and has the most potential to change our state for the better,” said State Representative Lydia Hernandez.

“I am completely grateful and honored to earn the endorsement of Representative Miranda and Representative Hernandez. It takes tremendous courage to go against the grain and endorse a member of another party. They are amazing women who are vocal advocates for their districts and I am encouraged by their support,” said Reagan.
