On December 9, 2014, Dion James Ovah, age 23, and Sidney Thomas Miller, age 19, were arrested and charged with several felonies including Burglary, Theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card after Detectives identified and contacted them as they were leaving a local theatre.
The victim reported his vehicle broken into sometime in the evening hours of December 8, in the 6600 Block of E. Eagle Crest Drive. The victim then reported to investigators he had been notified by his credit card companies regarding possible fraudulent use. Investigators were able to obtain video surveillance of one of the fraudulent purchases and obtained pictures of the two suspects.
Police were notified by Harkins theatres that two of the suspects using the stolen credit card where on property. Detectives then monitored the persons leaving the theatre, identified the suspects and made contact with them affecting an arrest. A subsequent interview with both suspects resulted in implications to the crime and property was seized belonging to the victim.
Ovah was arrested and charged with Third degree Burglary, Theft, Theft of a Credit Card, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, and false reporting to Law Enforcement. Miller was arrested and charged with Third degree Burglary, theft, Theft of a Credit Card, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
