The Tucson Police Department is investigating a single vehicle collision in the 3100 block of South Prudence Road which took the life of 21-year-old Daniel Evans.
On April 20, 2015, just before 1:30 a.m., officers from Operations Division East and members from the Tucson Fire Department responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision in the 3100 block of South Prudence Road. Upon arrival, they located Mr. Evans male suffering trauma and immediately rendered aid. Mr. Evans was transported to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit responded to continue the investigation. They were able to determine Mr. Evans, the driver of a 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck, was northbound on Prudence Road at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and struck a block wall that enclosed the backyard of 7502 East 42nd Street. The investigation is ongoing to determine if the driver was wearing a seatbelt and if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
