Oro Valley Bank Robber Sought

On May 13, 2015 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Oro Valley Police Department responded to a bank robbery at the Bank of the West, in the 7200 hundred block of North Oracle Road. The suspect entered the bank, demanded money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was seen or implied and the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. Officers circulated the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white male, mid 20’s to early 30’s, 5’8’’ in height with a slender build. He was wearing a light colored, button down shirt, jeans and white tennis shoes. He donned a black mask, a baseball hat with protective flaps on the sides and was carrying a small product bag with the label REI on it. The vehicle, which was parked in front of the bank, was described as a black Dodge, possibly a SUV, with all black rims.

The Oro Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact OVPD at (520) 229-4900, 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
