On July 20, 2015 at approximately 4:20 p.m., two men entered a residence in the 1200 block of east Clearview Dr., robbing the homeowner at gunpoint. Each of the subjects had their face partially covered with bandanas.
The two men took items from the home to include the victim’s vehicle, which was recovered a short time later in the 1500 block of North Kadota Ave.
Detectives responded to a tip the morning of July 21, regarding a subject identified as 21-year-old Royes Joseph King. Royes sold items to multiple pawn shops within the city, which were positively identified by the victim as having been taken from his home during the robbery.
On July 21, 2015, Royes was arrested in the 1500 block of Casa Grande Ave. without incident. He was later charged with 2 counts of Trafficking in Stolen Property and 2 counts of Possession of Stolen Property. He has not been charged with Robbery at this time. A search warrant was served on his residence and his vehicle.
Royes was booked into the Pinal County Jail on July 21.
