Mesa Man Body Found In Burnt Car

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, following a forensic examination, has identified the remains found on August 23, 2015, at approximately 10:37 a.m. in the trunk of burned out car as 57-year-old Curtis W. Oliver from Mesa, Arizona.

Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two persons of interest who are wanted for questioning. They are identified as 43-year-old Douglas Aukerman and 29-year-old Deanna Huber. Both are known to be living in the Mesa/Phoenix area.

They may be driving a silver/gray 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, Arizona license plate 931-YLL.

On August 23, Pima County deputies responded to a vehicle fire in the desert near Waterman Mountain Road, north of Avra Valley Road. When deputies arrived, the vehicle was no longer burning; however there were a few hotspots that needed to be extinguished. Firemen from the Avra Valley Fire Department responded and extinguished the hot spots. The firemen opened the trunk of the vehicle at the request of the deputies on scene. When they looked inside, they noticed the remains of Mr. Oliver within.

Anyone with information on the location of these persons of interest are urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
