Grand Avenue (US 60) will be closed this weekend at Loop 303 for bridge work as part of an ongoing project to improve the interchange that links both roadways.
Grand Avenue is scheduled to be closed between Loop 303 and R.H. Johnson Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 16) for work on the new Loop 303 bridge being constructed over US 60.
Drivers, including NASCAR fans in the far northwest Valley with plans to attend weekend races at Phoenix International Raceway, are encouraged to allow extra travel time while the closure is in place.
Southeast-bound Grand Avenue traffic will detour to southbound Loop 303. Most Grand Avenue traffic will use Bell Road and Loop 303 to detour around the closure.
Arizona state troopers from the Department of Public Safety will be on site to help direct traffic in the area.
