The Pima County Sheriff’s Department would like to remind the public that the 33rd El Tour de Tucson is this Saturday, November 21, 2015. The race begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at approximately 5:00 p.m at Armory Park, located at Broadway Boulevard and 6th Avenue.
Approximately 9,000 bicyclists are expected to ride in this year’s El Tour de Tucson. Major intersections in the area will be shut down at various times during the day by uniformed law enforcement. This is to assist the bicyclists and to ensure their safety as well as the safety of motorists. Use caution if you have to drive along the Tour route and expect possible delays.
The El Tour de Tucson route is attached. Please note the 55 mile course will begin at Swan Road and Fort Lowell Road at 10:30 a.m.
