The Tucson Police Department is actively investigating a home invasion and aggravated assault that occurred Wednesday morning in the 2300 block of North Craycroft Road.
On December 9, 2015, around 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a home invasion in the 2300 block of North Craycroft Road. The victim fled the residence and sought help at a nearby convenience store. Officers arrived on scene and located a 56-year-old male with his hands restrained. The officers freed the male. The male suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Detectives from the Home Invasion Unit responded to the scene to continue the investigation. They learned the victim was alone in his residence playing video games while utilizing a headset. Around 3:30 a.m., two unknown males entered the victim’s apartment, through an unlocked door, armed with handguns. The victim struggled with the intruders but was eventually bound and left on the floor of his apartment. One of the intruders continued to threaten to assault the victim. The intruders stole numerous items throughout the residence before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. The victim was eventually able to free himself and seek help at a nearby convenience store.
Detectives are seeking the identity of two males caught on video using the victim’s credit card. The detectives are urging anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
