Peter Hochuli has been appointed to the Pima County Superior Court. Commissioner Hochuli’s appointment to the Pima County Superior Court was made to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Karen Adam.

In 2008, Hochuli became a Commissioner on the Pima County Superior Court. Hochuli served on both the juvenile bench and probate bench. In this role, Hochuli has handled delinquency and dependency cases, adoptions, drug court cases, probates, appointment of guardians/conservators, trusts, and adult mental health hearings for court-ordered treatment.

Hochuli graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Three years later, he graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law.

Hochuli began his career in private practice, where he worked primarily in family and juvenile law for 15 years. In 1996, he began working for the Pima County Attorney’s Office, where he handled juvenile delinquency cases and developed innovative programs to improve safety in Pima County.

“Peter is a highly competent and qualified lawyer with notable experience in the juvenile law area,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “I am confident that Peter will continue to provide exemplary service to the people of Pima County.”
