Mark McCrory from Tulsa, Oklahoma has been selected to serve as Casa Grande Police Department’s new chief. Prior to Casa Grande, McCrory served as the Deputy Chief of Police for the Tulsa Police Department.
He was named as one of two finalists for the police chief of Kansas City position in 2014.
McCrory holds a bachelor’s degree in administration of Justice from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy as well as the Senior Management Institute of Policing.
“I am both proud and excited to be granted this opportunity to become the next Chief of Police of the Casa Grande Police Department,” said McCrory. “During the selection process, my wife and I had the pleasure to meet some outstanding people from the community, city leadership, and from within the police department. Shelly and I look forward to becoming established members of both the law enforcement and Casa Grande communities.”
McCrory is expected to begin serving in his new position in February. As the Police Chief, he will be responsible for the management of a $15.7 million operational budget and the supervision of 121 employees.
