A Pima County jury found Emmanuel Mendivil guilty on March 10, 2016, of Fraud Scheme, Theft of Property, and 4 counts of Forgery of a Credit Card.
Mendivil used credit cards that had once been legitimate gift cards, but he wiped their magnetic strips and placed numbers belonging to compromised accounts on them. Mendivil used those cards to purchase expensive items from local retail stores.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled April 12, 2016, in Superior Court Judge Kenneth Lee’s courtroom. Tucson Police Department
