Today legislators and stakeholders are meeting on the Capitol to announce the initiation of their campaign in opposition to the proposed Medicaid expansion. The campaign, “Restoring Freedom – Arizonans against the expansion of Obamacare”, will seek to inform the people of Arizona of the detrimental effects Medicaid expansion will have on the economy and healthcare system in the state of Arizona.
The group will include Senate President Andy Biggs (R-Dist. 12), Senator Kelli Ward (R-Dist. 5), Representative Warren Petersen (R-Dist. 12), Representative Steve Montenegro (R-Dist. 13), Representative Justin Olson (R-Dist. 25), Tyler Bowyer, Republican Legislative District Chairman – LD 17, and Christina Corieri, Health Care Policy Analyst from the Goldwater Institute.
