In August of 2013, the Tucson Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in reference to an unknown person downloading child pornography in the Tucson area. An investigation was initiated which led detectives to a home in the 1600 block of East Calle Muleta.
On November 27th, a search warrant was served at the residence by detectives. Evidence was located that implicated a resident from the home as being involved in the downloading of child pornography.
The resident was identified as 27-year old Anthony Lopez. He was arrested and booked into the Pima County Jail for 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
