Circle K knife point robber surrenders to TPD

Last week the Tucson Police Department asked for assistance identifying a suspect who, on March 5, 2014,entered the Circle K at 1700 block of West Speedway Boulevard. He lingered around the store for nearly 20 minutes before pulling out a knife and demanding money from the store clerk. He received an undisclosed amount of money before running northbound from the store.

On April 4, 2014, the suspect responsible for robbing the Circle K at knife point on March 5, 2014 was arrested and identified as 43 year old Sean Patrick Tighe. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of local news media, 88-CRIME, and a few proactive citizens, Mr. Tighe turned himself in to the Tucson Police Department. Mr. Tighe was booked into the Pima County Jail, charged with 1 count of Aggravated Assault and 1 count of Armed Robbery.

No one was injured during this incident.
