PCSO Arrests Seven With 195 Pounds Of Pot

On Dec. 17 at 2 a.m., PCSO deputies stopped two vehicles for traffic violations on Interstate 8 east of Highway 84. One vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, was found to contain four bundles of marijuana, weighing a total of 195 pounds.

Three occupants, the driver and two Mexican nationals were arrested for drug smuggling. The second vehicle, a Chevrolet SUV, was travelling with the Jeep and occupied by four persons, three of which were Mexican Nationals linked to packing the marijuana into the U.S. from Mexico a few days prior.

All seven persons were arrested for drug smuggling and are being held in the Pinal County Adult Detention Center.

12-18BUSTThe driver of the Jeep is identified as Shanna Marie Calderon, a 27-year-old Maricopa resident.

The driver of the Chevrolet SUV is identified as Camisha L. Fryer, a 20-year-old Maricopa resident.

The other five smugglers are adult males from Mexico.
