Teen Stabbed By Man Wanting Cell Phone

On December 26th, at approximately 5:11 p.m., the Casa Grande Police Department responded to a call for service in the 500 block of East Manor Drive regarding a stabbing.

Upon their arrival, Officers discovered a 16 year old male lying in the front yard of his residence holding a towel to the front right side of his torso. The victim stated he was approached by a male subject demanding he give him his cell phone. The victim stated a physical altercation ensued and the suspect struck him several times, including once with a sharp object which penetrated his front right ribcage area. The victim was able to maintain control of his cell phone.

The teenager was treated on scene by EMS and flown to Maricopa Medical Center for further treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was able to describe the suspect as possibly Hispanic with a dark skin complexion wearing mostly black and a beanie. The suspect may have left in a white sedan.
