TPD Seek Info-Man Fell Out Of Red Pickup Truck

The Tucson Police Department is seeking information related to an early Monday morning traffic incident in the 1400 block of E. Limberlost Dr. that left one man in serious condition at a local hospital.

Shortly before 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a request for police assistance from the Tucson Fire Department in the 1400 block of E. Limberlost Dr. reference a 911 call about a male that had possibly fallen out of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers learned the paramedics had located an adult male victim lying in the roadway with obvious trauma. Paramedics transported him to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Tucson Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit responded to the scene to further the investigation. They learned the victim had been out that evening with another male friend. The two received a ride home in a red pickup truck from two other males they had met that evening. Three of the men were riding in the cab of the truck and the victim was riding in the bed of the truck. As the truck was heading westbound on Limberlost Dr. from N. Campbell Ave., the occupants in the cab noticed the victim was no longer in the bed of the truck. They turned the truck around and located the victim in the roadway. When the victim’s friend exited to check his welfare, the other two males left the area in the truck.

The victim sustained head trauma and appeared to have been run over by a vehicle. Detectives are asking anyone who might have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
