Tucson Police Looking For TMC Shooter

The Tucson Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday night at Tucson Medical Center.

On August 30, 2016, just before 9:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the northeast parking structure of the Tucson Medical Center. Officers arrived on scene and located a 25-year-old female victim with obvious signs of gunshot trauma and summoned members from the Tucson Fire Department.

Paramedics transported the female to a local area hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation. They were able to determine that just before 9:15 p.m., the victim returned to her vehicle in the northeast parking garage to go home for the evening. While seated in the passenger seat an unknown male suspect approached her, tapped her on the shoulder, and then shot her. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, 5’5” – 5’6”, 165 lbs, with a thin build, dark beard and bald. He was last seen wearing a white athletic jersey, and dark pants. Detectives are asking anyone with information related to this incident to call 911 or you can remain anonymous by contacting 88-CRIME.
