On the early evening of September 23, Pima County deputies responded to a call from a the 7-Eleven, located at 4661 E. Skyline Drive, about an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim told deputies he went to the 7-Eleven to get gas for his vehicle.
As the victim was walking toward the entrance to pre-pay for his gas, someone opened their car door almost hitting him. When the victim put his hand on the car door to prevent it from hitting him, the person in the car began yelling at him. The victim continued into the store and the suspect followed him. The suspect continued to yell and curse at the victim in the store. While in the store, the victim noticed the suspect was armed with a pistol. He felt threatened because of the suspect’s behavior.
Eventually, the suspect left the store and returned to his vehicle. As the victim exited the store, the suspect pulled out of his parking space and pointed a pistol at him. According to the victim, the suspect threatened to shoot him before driving off in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as:
• 6’00” tall and 175 pounds
• Short dark hair
• Several earrings in both ears
• Wearing a dark colored tank top, shorts, a belt with a large buckle, and a Fedora hat
• Driving a late model teal four door Mazda sedan
The Sheriff’s Department Robbery/Assault Unit responded and took over the investigation.
