On July 22, 2015, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Pima County Foothills district deputies responded to Soltis Sunglasses at the La Encantada Mall, located at 2905 East Skyline Drive reference an armed robbery.
When deputies arrived, they learned two females entered the store under the guise of buying sunglasses. When they approached the counter to pay, one of the females produced a handgun and told the clerk to “get back.” The female with the gun went behind the counter and put approximately $12,000.00 worth of sunglasses into a pink and white bag.
The suspects left the store and ran to the parking lot. They were seen getting into a white Oldsmobile Aurora and driving away from the area.
The females are described as:
Suspect 1:
• Hispanic female
• 35-40 years old
• Dark hair
• Average height and weight
• Wearing a white shirt, dark pants, and a ball cap with white lettering
Suspect 2:
• Hispanic female
• Approximately 15-years-old
• Average height, thin build
• Dark hair
• Wearing a gray shirt with white lettering and dark pants
