Mystery Flagstaff Tree Chopper Sought

On February 24, 2016 the Flagstaff Police Department was contacted by a city park employee in regards to several trees which had been cut down in the wooded area between north San Francisco Street and the Buffalo Park area just to the north of Forest Avenue which is city property.

A witness described seeing several patches of oak trees, which had been cut down on February 22, 2016. The officer noted what looked like two patches of oak trees and one patch of pine. In one area the cut logs looked to be placed in a makeshift pile.

The Flagstaff Police Department is asking for any assistance in observing any suspicious tree cutting activity in the area, or suspicious vehicles. Contact the Flagstaff Police Department if you have any information at 928 774-1414.
